Portugal
Portugal is an “up and coming” European travel destination, becoming more popular each year.
Centered by the capital city Lisbon, there’s the cliffs and beaches of the Algarve to the south, and the beautiful old city of Porto to the north.
We spent 4 days in Porto and 4 days in Lisbon, travelling by train between these destinations. The food was phenomenal, with cultural specialties available across the country. The country dates back to the 11th century and was in a dictatorship as late as the mid 1970’s. In Lisbon, there’s several historic neighborhoods to visit, including the castles of Sintra and the coastal resort town of Cascais. Porto has exquisite architecture, a scenice waterfront, numerous restaurants, and is known for it's wineries (particularly Port wine).
Did you know that the Porto architecture and the Porto University were inspirations for the Harry Potter series?
Mediterranean Cruise
Imagine cruising the Mediterranean with access to Europe, Africa, and Asia!
Our cruise started in Barcelona, Spain which is a beautiful, safe, charming, and vibrant city. We arrived in Barcelona 3 days before the cruise, giving us a chance to explore this exquisite city which hosted the 1992 Olympics!
A food tour, biking tour, and a winery cruise filled our days in this wonderful city.
On the cruise, we stopped in Italy, France, Monaco and Spain, visiting Nice, St Tropez, Rome, and Mallorca among others. Seeing the Sagrada Familia Church (Barcelona), the Rome Coliseum, the Vatican, the Monte Carlo casino (Monaco), and the French Riveria up close and personal was truly exhilarating!
South Africa
Capetown, a capital of South Africa is a vibrant, beautiful city located on the southern tip of the continent.
There are beaches near downtown, various neighborhoods to explore, significant history, and a huge waterfront with restaurants and shops.
Table Mountain (one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature) overlooks the city and a funicular tranports you 3,500 ft to the top, offering a spectacular view!
Just outside of Capetown is the Cape of Good Hope, the most southwestern point of the African continent.
Enhance your experience by visiting Johannesburg, Soweto, and embark on a safari to see the Big Five (Lions, Leopards, Rhinos, Elephants and Cape Buffalo)!

I’m Carl Benjamin, owner of Mosaic Travel Adventures.
My wife, Wanda, and I have been travel enthusiasts for years. We have immensely enjoyed taking cruises, tours, and self-arranged trips to multiple countries and continents.
Seeing the world has become a passion, and I started Mosaic Travel Adventures to help others achieve their travel dreams and “bucket list” trips.
